John I was in the congregation Saturday at VFC. Your analogy of the tribe in South America, moved me. I feel like the chief you spoke of and not understanding how to step first toward “driving the vehicle to the water”. I told my wife as much this morning after breakfast… Usually we attend church together but currently, she is performing at the Civic theater.
I am a christian and if asked to define the grace of God, I surely would have been included in the 98%. I believe this attraction at some level, relates to the recovery from alcoholism I have been apart of over the past 18 plus years. I feel stagnant in my “recovery.” Rest assure I don’t experience the cravings for alcohol today. I know it was Gods grace doing for me what I could not do for my self, in this score…. today.
