SHAKEN Young Reader’s Edition Book Report Contest
IMPORTANT: Please read these Official Rules before entering the SHAKEN Young Reader’s Edition Book Report Contest (the “Contest”), presented by The Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House LLC (“Sponsor”). By entering the Contest, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules. These Official Rules shall govern in the event of any inconsistency with other Contest-related materials.

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, who are 10-15 years of age. All federal, state, and local regulations apply. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED. Employees of Sponsor its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and agencies, and their immediate family members and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter the Contest.
ENTRY PERIOD: The Contest begins on September 26, 2017, and all entries must be postmarked on or by January 8, 2018 and received on or by January 15, 2018. Entries submitted prior to or after the entry period will not be considered.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter, write a book report based on SHAKEN Young Reader’s Edition by Tim Tebow in seven hundred and fifty (750) words or less and send your submission to

along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope and the following information: child’s full name, child’s grade (ie. 5th grade), parent’s/legal guardian’s email address, and parent’s/legal guardian’s phone number. Submissions by fax, email, or other electronic means will not be considered. Each entrant hereby acknowledges that their entry will be the sole property of the Sponsor.
In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address used for entry. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of automated devices will result in disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information by entrants; lost or late entries or transmissions; interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; scrambled transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic, technical malfunctions of any computer hardware, software, or any combinations thereof; or problems associated with any virus or any other damage caused to entrants’ systems. Incomplete or illegible entries will be voided. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of being conducted as described in these rules, Sponsor shall have the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
By entering, entrants represent and warrant that their entries are their own and original creations, and do not violate or infringe the rights, including without limitation, copyrights, trademark rights, or rights of publicity/privacy of any third party. Entrants agree that entries will not contain any content, materials and/or images that are or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event that there is an insufficient number of qualified entries or if the Sponsor determines in its absolute discretion that no or too few entries meet the quality standards established to award the prize, Sponsor reserves the right not to award the prize.
JUDGING: Entries will be judged by Sponsor’s editorial and marketing staff and author Tim Tebow and will be judged on: (i) knowledge of the book; and (ii) creativity, with equal weight given to each criterion. Judging will begin on or about January 16, 2017 and will end on or about February 14, 2018.
Entrants agree that entries will not contain any content, materials and/or images that are or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event that there is an insufficient number of qualified entries or if the Sponsor determines in its absolute discretion that no or too few entries meet the quality standards established to award the prize, Sponsor reserves the right not to award the prize.
ONE (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive (i) a signed copy of SHAKEN Young Reader’s Edition; (ii) a customized baseball bat signed by Tim Tebow; and (iii) a five (5) minute call with Tim Tebow (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $217.99).
TWO (2) Runner-Up Winners will receive (i) a signed copy of SHAKEN Young Reader’s Edition; and (ii) a signed official MLB baseball from Tim Tebow (ARV: $167.99).
All entrants will receive a 4 x 6 sticker exclusively produced for this Contest (ARV: $1.00) in the self-addressed, stamped envelope that was submitted to enter the Contest.
No transfer or cash or other substitution of all or part of a prize is permitted, except by Sponsor, which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the prize or prize component with another of comparable or greater value. Any and all taxes on the prize will be the responsibility of the winners. In the event that there is an insufficient number of eligible entries, Sponsor reserves the right not to award the prizes. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any delays, damage in the delivery of the prize, and/or loss of any prize in connection with delivery of the prize via mail.
WINNER SELECTION: ONE (1) Grand Prize Winner and TWO (2) Runner-Up Winners will be selected and notified by email on or about February 15, 2018 from all eligible entries received by the entry deadline. To be confirmed a winner, the selected entrants must respond to the email notification with ten (10) days of receipt. Winners (and winners’ parent or legal guardian) shall be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability. The affidavit must be returned within fourteen (14) days of notification. Noncompliance with these conditions may result in the forfeiture of the Prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner in such circumstance. If winner notification of the Prize is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate winner.
DISCLAIMERS: By accepting the prize, each Winner agrees that Sponsor, and its respective parent companies, assigns, subsidiaries and affiliates, and advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and all of their respective employees, officers and directors will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by the Winner for any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to person and property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prizes, or participation in this Contest. By participating in the Contest and by accepting the prize, the Winner consents to the use of his/her name and Entry for publicity and promotional purposes on behalf of Sponsor with no additional compensation or further permission (except where prohibited by law).
Any dispute arising from this Contest will be determined according to the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of law principles, and by entering the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
