About The Necessity of an Enemy

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” —  Jesus
Congratulations!  Your Goliath Has Arrived.
Enemies often seem to get in the way of our plans, leaving us discouraged and disoriented.  But what if these obstacles are a part of God’s plans for us?
Our enemies - whether our weaknesses, circumstances, deep-seated sins, other people, or any other challenge—can become our stepping stool to new breakthroughs in life, if we leverage the opportunity.  Just as David’s encounter with Goliath transformed him from a delivery boy to a national hero, our enemies can be a blessing in disguise - if only we recognize and face them head-on.
Human nature tells us to flee our enemies, but Ron Carpenter will challenge you to embrace them. In The Necessity of an Enemy, Ron shares engaging insights like:

   • God intended for every enemy to be your footstool for promotion.
   • If you want to be number one, you can’t just beat number nine.
   • The depth of your battle gives you insight into the greatness of the potential God put in you, and enemies are your key to unlocking that potential.
   • All battles are fought over your future, not over your past or present circumstances.

Are you ready to reach your next goal in life? Do you want biblically-based wisdom to help defeat every enemy and move with confidence to your destiny?  The Necessity of an Enemy will give you the tools to change your perspective – and find meaning and purpose in all of life’s trials.

Enemies often seem to get in the way of our plans, leaving us discouraged and disoriented.  But what if these obstacles are a part of God’s plans for us?

By Samirian Hill

Pastor Ron Carpenter, Jr. gives an excellent account of warfare. "An Enemy arising in your life is an announcement that the next stage of your future is about to be born" That's good news. He gives account on why opposition to your calling and purpose is necessary to birth what God has placed in you. He also provides a detailed description on how to walk through the fire. If you have an assignment from God and are in a battle, I...

This book is not one to just sit down and read all the way through. (Which is how I started reading it.) The nuggets of truth and encouragement within each chapter are conveniently broken down into bite-sized pieces. Quick enough, in fact, that I'd say you could leave it in a place where it's convenient to grab when you've literally got just a minute or two to dive into something. Although it's not really a "devotional" book, it could be used...

Enemies often seem to get in the way of our plans, leaving us discouraged and disoriented. But what if these obstacles are part of God's plans for us? The Necessity for an Enemy has been written for believers going for the more of God. This is not a answer to the world's problems or a quick fix for those active in a sinful lifestyle in the mist of suffering. Pg. 10 Carpenter makes a statement, "right before you open a new door of...

As someone who has struggled with depression, this book was a breath of fresh air. Where other Christian authors have said things like, "Pray more", "stop taking your medicine & let God heal you" and other such things, this book provided real encouragement. Depression is real and it is treatable. Finally, an author who understands that AND is able to help you face it head on. This book helped me to step back and look at things on a...

We all have troubles in life, but then there are the "Goliath's" that appear out of nowhere and knock us off of our feat and leave us wondering "where did THAT come from?" Pastor Ron Carpenter does an incredible job at helping us to deal with all challenges, big and small, through the lenses of our relationship with Christ and how enemies are actually gifts used to refine us, grow us, and help us depend in Him as our Savior from...
