About The Always God

Our unchanging God can change everything. Discover how with the influential teaching pastor of one of America’s largest and most diverse churches.

There’s a rising sense of uncertainty and turmoil in the world and in our lives. Loss and disappointment seem endless—whether because of an unexpected diagnosis, a desperate search for a job, or our concern for the future of those we love.

During heart-crushing “Why is this happening?” moments, we can feel abandoned. Has God given up on us? Is he no longer responding? Has he just . . . left?

Pastor Jarrett Stephens understands. He’s battled his own doubt and frustration and has walked with others through their struggles and anxieties.

And he’s discovered some really good news. Even when we don’t understand what God is doing, he is always at work—pursuing the lost, restoring thebroken, calming the anxious, comforting thelonely, helping the angry, encouraging the fearful, and forgiving the guilty.

The Always God invites us to quiet ourselves and listen to the God who does not change or forget us. Not ever. And that truth changes everything.

THE ALWAYS GOD
By Jarrett Stephens
A Multnomah Paperback Original | On Sale 6/1/21

“In uncertain times, The Always God is a must-read for all of us.”
—SHEILA WALSH, author, speaker, television host

A message of hope for an anxious day: God never changes. He is still here and ready to transform our lives. What we must ask is if we are ready to respond to him.

In these turbulent times, many wonder where God is…and why he doesn’t seem to be intervening. Sure, he performed miracles in the Bible, but what about now? What about us? In The Always God: He Hasn’t Changed and You Are Not Forgotten (Jun 1, 2021, Multnomah, foreword by Sheila Walsh), Pastor Jarrett Stephens reveals these foundational truths:

·        God is always present
·        God is always working
·        God is always faithful.

In The Always God, Stephens, pastor of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, gives hope to those who think God has given up on us. It invites us to quiet ourselves and listen to the God who does not change or forget us. Not ever. And that changes everything.

Stephens challenges readers with the question:
Do you wonder if God has forgotten you?

He responds, “I wrote this book for you because I’ve been where you are. As a pastor, I walk with people who are where you are: in the midst of a trial, needing to be reminded that our God is always God, and needing to be invited to journey with him to a place of greater assurance and intimacy. Regardless of how things may seem, he is always the same and can always be trusted.”

Bringing sound biblical teaching along with comforting guidance, he can help readers answer such questions as:
·        Is God listening and does he see me?
·       Can I have an unwavering confidence that God is always here and always working?
·       Can I get to a place where, no matter what happens, doubt won’t overtake me?

Stephens’s prayer is that every reader will discover in a very personal and powerful way just how faithful the always God really is.
