About God Gave Us Angels

“What do angels do all day, Papa?”

When Papa finds Little Cub looking for angels, it gives him a chance to tell his beloved child about those that may be in their midst, even when they can’t be seen.  Exploring their exhilarating Arctic world as they talk, Papa lovingly answers all of Little Cub’s questions about angels—and as usual, she has a lot. She wants to know what they do, how they look, how they guard God’s loved ones, and best of all, how they serve the Creator of the world.

“God really created angels to serve him more than us, Little Cub.
They love him and would do anything for him.”

This uplifting tale will encourage young hearts by exploring the glory and design of God’s messengers, while turning toward him with praise.

The book is geared towards children 3-8 which is perfect since the boys are 8 and 3.  Having both ends of the age range allowed me to see how they reacted differently.  Our 8 year old, who doesn't enjoy reading, felt comfortable enough with the book to read it aloud.  Our 3 year old loved the illustrations and detail on each page.  The book does a great job of explaining angels from a Christian point of view. The story is arranged so that the...

I have a soft spot in my heart for Lisa Tawn Bergren's "God Gave Us" series.  When my oldest was born, my mom gifted us with a copy of her most popular childrens' book, God Gave Us You.  The simple story and sing-song lines had me in tears the first time I read them aloud to my son. When we added our daughter, God Gave Us Two joined our shelves, and the sweet story of a growing family helped soothe the sibling rivalry that a new baby brings....

I just love the God Gave Us series so much and when I saw this available to review I just had to grab it. Just like the other books children learn about the bible and Christian worldview through Little Cub that asks many questions to his Papa, just like our children do to us. Each page is beautifully illustrated and the adorable polar bears will warm your heart. In this particular book Little Cub learns about Angels and God's purpose of them...

This was such a wonderfully sweet and informative book! I have been curious about this illustrated series, God Gave Us, for kids for a little while. I have to say, this first adventure into this beautifully illustrated book makes me excited to read the rest of them. Kids are always full of questions and sometimes it's hard to answer them. They can bounce around from subject to subject so quickly, you can loose track and get...
