In Visioneering, Stanley builds a case for the necessity of a clear, God-ordained vision. Whether as a parent or a corporate CEO, Stanley argues that a clear vision is crucial to accomplishing the extraordinary.
“Vision,” writes Andy Stanley, “is a clear mental picture of what could be, fueled by the conviction that it should be.”
Through the life of Nehemiah and other historical leaders, Standley offers practical insights into how God can use ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. Visioneering includes exercises and tools to help businesses, ministries, families and individuals develop an understanding of the vision God has for their lives and how they can begin to pursue it.
“Everybody ends up somewhere in life. A few people end up somewhere on purpose. Those are the ones with vision. They may have other things going for them as well. But they certainly have vision,” says Stanley. “Not necessarily a vision but vision for each of the key roles they are assigned along the way because life is a multifaceted journey. It calls for a multifaceted vision.”
In addition to timeless original content, this updated edition contains applied case studies from leaders like Frank Blake, former CEO of Home Depot, and a new, 8 session small group discussion guide.
Like a piercing light, this powerful question cuts through the fog surrounding so many decisions in life and enables individuals to see clearly, exposing one’s heart and motives. Divided into six parts, Ask It starts out with the “big” question, and includes common alternatives to asking it, how to apply it to time and relationships, a secret of best decision makers and a special Ask It challenge. Also includes a study guide for personal or group study.

But over the last few years, I've engaged much less with his materials and thought it might not mean as much to me anymore. I'm happy to say that I was thoroughly wrong. Andy Stanley has a great talent for delivering truths boldy and simply without making the concepts feel dumbed down. I've had the...

He gives a lot of practical advice about how to set up a wise life that is effective and pleasing to God. He talks about relationships, finances, and other practical aspects of life. His book is great for someone who wants to discover and maintain a personal...
