From Katrina, to 9/11, President Bush was part of American history. He was accused of racism (what he calls the lowest point of his presidency). He was lauded and able to stand up to terrorists. These eight years of American history contain some of the most pivotal times and decisions for the future.

Some decisions have to be made quickly without the ability to double check. Especially if the person (Sadaam Hussein) is determined to avoid looking weak at all costs.
Actions create perceptions. Perceptions define people's reality whether you like it or not.
