About Seven-Mile Miracle

His Final Words Are Your New Beginning

It’s Good Friday. The Son of God is giving up his life. What does he want to say to us in His final hours? What does He tell the people standing at the foot of the cross, to pass down to the ages? He speaks only seven short statements. Words of forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph, and reunion. Seven statements that mean everything.

In Seven-Mile Miracle, Pastor Steven Furtick shows us how Jesus’s last words offer mile markers for our journey in relationship with God. It’s a lifelong journey and it’s not always easy. But Jesus is both our guide and our destination as we travel.

Includes questions for reflection and a forty-day reading guide to Jesus’s death and resurrection.

A Proven Path for Spiritual Growth

From time to time we all feel stuck in our relationship with God and frustrated by life’s setbacks. Jesus faced what could have been the ultimate defeat on the cross. Yet he emerged triumphant through his relationship with his heavenly Father. And he showed us the way so that we could do the same.

In Seven-Mile Miracle, Steven Furtick explores how Jesus’s seven last statements on the cross offer a proven spiritual growth path for us. You will experience the Easter message more personally than ever before as you engage the words of forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph, reunion.

After all, we are not simply believers—people who have put our faith in Jesus. We are not simply disciples—pupils who learn from him. We are called to be followers of Christ. This is your opportunity to follow Jesus through his death, and move forward in his resurrection power, starting now.

New York Times Best-selling Author & Pastor Explores How the Last Words of Jesus
Offer a Proven Path for Vibrant Spiritual Growth

“It’s Good Friday. He is at Calvary, the last stop of his earthly journey. The Son of God and Savior of the world is giving up his life. What is on his mind? What does he want the people standing at the foot of the cross to hear and to repeat, passing it down to the ages?” –Steven Furtick

In Seven-Mile Miracle: Journey Into the Presence of God Through the Last Words of Jesus (Multnomah, 2/28/17), New York Times best-selling author and pastor Steven Furtick takes readers on a journey to explore how Jesus’ last seven statements on the cross offer important mile markers in a believer’s relationship with God.

Readers will experience the Easter message more deeply than ever before as they engage with Jesus’ words of: forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph, and reunion. He says these are the mile markers on the road to our personal Easter—not just as an annual event, but as a daily experience. With his keen insight and a touch of wit, Furtick helps readers apply these powerful and life-changing words to their lives.

For instance, he addresses how Jesus experienced the pain of being abandoned by his Father when he took the entire world’s sin upon Himself at the cross. In light of this, Furtick encourages readers that, even though they may likewise feel forsaken and encounter a “dark night of the soul,” they need to fear no evil because—despite all appearances to the contrary—their heavenly Shepherd really is with them.
“Easter is proof that you can know that God is with you, even if you don’t feel his presence all the time, and in faith you can act accordingly,” he says.

The book includes questions for reflection and a forty-day reading guide to Jesus’ death and resurrection.

It is put together by the seven last words of Jesus before his resurrection. And can I say that it was transformative?!?!?The way that Furtick puts...

He reminds us of how much Jesus loves us and how we should be living our lives in honor of Him. Seven Mile Miracle is a book that I have not shelved, I plan to read this book again...

I got this book a little before Easter and was hoping to finish it in time for Easter Sunday.  It was a novel concept to me to study Jesus' last words.  Unfortunately, I found this book hard to get into.  I stopped somewhere in chapter 3 and only recently picked it back up again.  It's written in an informal tone (sometimes unnecessarily so).  And I thought the font change in between chapters was a little distracting.  I'd...

Seven Mile Miracle by Steven Furtick is a very well written book speaking of Jesus last words. It speaks of Jesus words to his disciples, his family, and the thieves of the crosses at his side. I decided to review this book in hopes of discovering it to be an easy read for the Easter holiday. What I found instead was an in-depth study that left my life changed forever. With a rough past and many issues due to this, I often find myself lacking...
