Initially I was attracted to this book because of the illustrator David Catrow. This book is filled with clever and heart warming drawings. But I also discovered an awesome author Matthew Paul Turner who has a true gift with words. His poetry is like music. It flows beautifully from page to page and the illustrations enhance his words. This book is equally pleasing to the child and adult who shares the book with the little one.The...
What an absolutely lovely children's book! The rhyming words combined with the colorful illustrations make this a great read aloud book. The illustrator, David Catrow, also illustrated so many of my favorites including "I Ain't Gonna Paint No More" and "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon." If you want a children's book that is both verbally and visually exciting, this is a wonderful book to add to your collection.
As a book lover I know that books not only make great gifts but they can also open up hearts that may need mending. He is in foster care and no matter how much the teacher talked about God, he just wasn't "getting it."So, when this book popped up on my screen...

When God Made You is a sweet and special book. This is a book that will convey to a child just how special and unique they truly are. As we grow older we either forget that important fact or just don't believe that a big ole great God could love little ole imperfect us. So I feel like this is a great book to share with our children because it will get them in the habit of seeing themselves as God sees them. The book is...
