About When God Made You

YOU, you… God thinks about you.
God was thinking of you long before your debut.

From early on, children are looking to discover their place in the world and longing to understand how their personalities, traits, and talents fit in. The assurance that they are deeply loved and a unique creation in our big universe is certain to help them spread their wings and fly.

Through playful, charming rhyme and vivid, fantastical illustrations, When God Made You inspires young readers to learn about their own special gifts and how they fit into God’s divine plan as they grow, explore, and begin to create for themselves.

‘Cause when God made YOU, somehow God knew
That the world needed someone exactly like you!

My son absolutely loves this book. He is only 3 years old and he enjoyed the artwork and pointing at various things in the book. I love how bright, fun and easy this book was. It kept his attention and is now one of his favorite books. My little sister, who is ten, also enjoyed reading this book as well.

I love children's books. I work at a daycare so I have a good idea of what pleases children in the way of literature (as an aside, I loved things written for kids even before I worked at my preschool/daycare). This book has such an adorable cover- I knew I had to read it! My overall opinion about this book is that parents will love reading it most. Since adults are the ones reading to toddlers, I think it's fun to find picture books which are...

Just the other day I had the opportunity to review a new book by Matthew Paul Turner and illustrated by David Catrow titled When God Made You. First off, I want to commend Catrow as the illustrations in this book are vibrant and utterly beautiful. This children's book is a great story of how God made all of us unique and our only mission in life to is to live for Him and to love others. If we do those two things, we are fulfilling God's dream...

When God Made You is a wonderful children's book.  The illustrations are beautiful. Children also seem to respond well to the catchy rhyming verses the author uses. When God Made You is an uplifting and heartwarming story. It really does make a child feel loved.

This is a really charming children's book in a sort of Seuss-esque style about the importance and value of individuality. I'm not a religious person, and I'm not raising my daughter to be religious, so we'll be gifting this book to a friend, but the illustrations are wonderfully dreamy and flowing and I'm so glad the "You" in the book is a little girl with brown skin. I received a free copy of this title for review from BloggingForBooks.com
