About Jerry Bridges

I'm not a huge fan of "devotional" books written by modern day authors.  Jerry Bridges is one exception. I agree with another reviewer - he's a "modern day puritan".  I think Bridges other books, particularly "The Pursuit of Holiness" and the "Practice of Godliness" are on every Christian's "must read" list of books... and now after having this book for quite some time (I actually thought I reviewed it before!) I'd add this one to that list....

I Exalt You, O God by Jerry Bridges is a one month devotional book. It was wonderful! Whether you are new to Christianity and learning about worship or have been a Christian for many years, you will learn more about how/why to worship God not only in a group setting (like church) but also when you are by yourself (and why you should be doing both). I am a big Jerry Bridges "fan" - I enjoy his books - they are God-centered and Gospel-focused and this book is no exception.
