Draw near Hell answer your deepest longings.
Experience Gods delight in you and discover a closer relationship with Him through this heart-lifting 31-day devotional from beloved author Ruth Myers.
Ruth includes a lot of verses that are meaningful to her and with each day reveals Scripture that is relevant for that Chapter/Day. She offers up a prayer and space at the end of the book to where we can write what verse sticks out and is meaningful to us that day. I really enjoy this book, and recommend it for those desiring a closer relationship, deeper and more intimate relationship with Him. Disclaimer: I received this book for free...
At first I was skeptical as to how this book would impact me. I felt like this would be a typical 31 days of devotionals. I found myself drawn deeper and deeper into the truth of 1.) Who we are in Christ and 2.) How God our Heavenly Father views us. I really appreciate how Ruth draws from her own life experience and is very transparent and almost "face to face" to me as the reader. She is very personal and that is something I was not...
Who wouldn't want to draw nearer to God? Ruth Myers subtitle lures you in even further--"Resting Securely in His Delight." 31 Days will be a book you will keep on your shelf to read again and again. I plan to make it part of my regular devotions as I follow the ACTS plan--"adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication." Adoration includes praising God for Who He is, not what He has done for me--that is thanksgiving. This book breathes...
Written by Ruth Myers, this book is a 31 Day devotional created to help you draw near to God. It was also previously released as The Satisfied Heart. I appreciated the fact that she opened up with her back-story. It adds credibility and immediately connects the reader emotionally. The book doesn't so much read as a devotional, as it is more like a beloved aunt, mother, or grandmother sharing very personal and very deep life lessons...
Time is precious in the planting season, making it far easier to maintain a morning quiet time via a one-month daily devotional than through a deeply theological chapter book. This one even comes complete with built-in prayers and related Bible readings. But don't think 31 Days of Drawing Near to God by Ruth Myers is a light-weight book just because it is offered in manageable chunks. Right away, she details the book's theme as being a...
