In each book he writes in “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, author Lemony Snicket cautions the reader that if you like happy stories, you might want to put the book down and stop reading! This book, “Lioness Arising” should come with a caution that if you don’t want to be challenged, changed and charged, put the book down and stop reading!

Lisa Bevere challenges her readers to be like a lioness. In 11 chapters she compares today’s woman to various aspects and characteristics of the lioness, urging us to awaken and arise, be strong and wise, protect the young and speak out for the silent, live in the light and hunt in the dark. Supported with Scripture, observations of nature, and personal experiences, the author acts as our cheerleader, urging us to follow the example of the lioness- to wake up and change your world!

Inspired by an intense dream, the author penned this book and you can feel her strong desire for women to be changed in every chapter. Lisa shares her heart for today’s Christian woman in chapter 2, “It is my earnest prayer that my words will awaken something uncontainable hidden within you. I hope you will rise up with the strength of a lioness and bring God-wonder wherever you go.”
