In 2006 three fishermen were rescued after almost ten months on the open sea. This is the story of that odyssey as told by Joe Kissack who says he is THE FOURTH FISHERMAN. Joe shares their journey, along with his own, as he describes how God was present in all of it, that it is really His story.

Five men started out on a 2 day fishing expedition however after a storm they lost their net, then ran out of gas and drifted over 6,000 miles. Joe Kissack became lost in his search to become rich and to have his father be proud of him. He succeeded at being rich but never at hearing his father praise him or recognize his achievements.

The scenario that ensued is the basis for this book. It is a account of these mens surrender to the mystery of God and what He is doing. Each found God to be ever present as they learned to trust Him to accept His guidance and grace.

I received this book free for an honest review from WaterBrook Press.
