Religion - Christian Life - Women's Issues
This is my first review of Christian non-fiction. But I'm excited to be doing this. I hope you'll love this book as much as I do.
I loved how each of the women gave real life accounts of things that had happened in their lives or in the lives of others close to them and then tied it with what most people face. I appreciate their honesty. Sometimes, being involved in ministry, it might be hard to admit there are times when it's tough to trust but these women seem to hold nothing back and this helps the reader to really identify with them.
No matter how spiritually mature you think you may be, this is a great book for you!
It's an extremely easy read. The reader's supposed to read a chapter a day over the period of two months but personally, each chapter was so easy and enjoyable to read I just kept on reading.
It's a good personal read but it would also be great as a group study. Questions are provided at the end of each week. These help to reflect and bring one to a state of honesty with one's self. If done in a study group, there are specific points to share on and ponder about.
I was really excited to read this book and I am not disappointed. God has opened my eyes to certain things and actually used it as a confirmation to certain things He's doing in my life.
I received a free copy of this book from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review.
