If you want to dig deeper into the book of Ruth, this is the way to do it. Liz Curtis Higgs takes you verse by verse through Ruth and explains things in ways you may not have had them explained before. You can tell in her writing that she is genuinely trying to help you learn from the book of Ruth and I love it. She doesn't just say "this is what happened and what you should know is...", she explains the significance and really makes you feel like you're there with Ruth along the way.

There are also study questions in the back to help you make connections to both your life and other Bible passages. This would be a really good book for a group of women to go through together (or if you can't you can stop by Liz's blog and do the Bible study she's leading!).

Disclaimer: I received this book for free from Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange for an honest review.
