Be Still My Soul by Joanne Bischof is the first book in the Cadence of Grace Series. I was not sure if this book would hold my attention but it was gripping from the beginning. It begins with shy Lonnie being walked home by man of the world Gideon. Lonnie, in a moment of weakness and trusting the wrong person, finds herself in an uncomfortable situation, though she does nothing wrong. As a result of misinterpreted actions she is forced into a hasty, unwanted marriage.

An angry Gideon, being forced into a place he doesn't want to be, leads Lonnie on a journey that is full of obstacles. The journey is higlighted by a chance meeting with Jebadian and Elsie. The journey toward love by both Lonnie and Gideon is one that makes the book hard to put down.

You will want to add this book to your library and you might read this one more than once!!

This book was furned free to me for the purpose of writing a review by Waterbrook Multnomah Publishers.
