Be Still My Soul starts off right away with a shotgun wedding. Lonnie is such an easy character to love and sympathize with.

The lessons the characters learn will hit home with anyone that has problems with wandering from the Lord or maybe had a struggle to remain hopeful through heartbreak.

Joanne Bischof’s Be Sill My Soul is a page-turner-I recommend it to all lovers of historical fiction.

I enjoyed this book. It is definitely unique. I found myself relating to Lonnie, her life and struggles felt real and believable. I found myself happy, sad, and angry with the events in the book. It derw me in and took me there. So many emotions and such a great book.

Be Still My Soul is the first book in The Cadence of Grace series, A nice first novel. I found Bischof’s writing enjoyable and clean-the author tackles a difficult theme with gentleness.
