Three WaterBrook Multnomah Titles Named Finalists for

Christian Retailing’s BEST Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April  2013) – WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group is proud to be recently honored by Christian Retailing’s naming three of its titles as finalists for Christian Retailing’s annual BEST Awards.

Fearless: The Undaunted Courage and Ultimate Sacrifice of Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown (May 2012/WaterBrook Press), by New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling and award-winning author Eric Blehm, was nominated in the Auto/Biography category. This heartrending and inspiring story of Naval Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Adam Brown, who overcame tremendous odds in his rise to the top tier of the U.S. military: SEAL Team Six, appeared on The New York Times Bestseller list for 17 weeks and will release in paperback on May 21st.

The Girl’s Still Got It: Take a Walk with Ruth and the God Who Rocked Her World (July 2012/WaterBrook Press), by New York Times and CBA bestselling and award-winning author Liz Curtis Higgs, was nominated in Nonfiction: Women’s category. This novel approach to Bible study invites readers to step through the portal of time and experience the day-to-day lives of Ruth and Naomi, gleaning from their rags-to-riches story the assurance that God is at work to redeem each loss and disappointment. Liz is the author of nearly 30 books, with more than 3 million copies in print.

Wildflowers from Winter (May 2012/WaterBrook Press), by debut novelist Katie Ganshert, was nominated in the Fiction: Contemporary Romance category. The book follows Bethany Quinn as her put-together world suddenly falls apart, forcing her to confront loss, estranged friendships, family secrets and spiritual disillusionment. The promise of this book is that out of the darkest winters of our lives, hope and life can be renewed. Katie Ganshert was born and raised in the Midwest, where she writes stories about finding faith and falling in love.

Those qualified to vote in the awards this year judged the nominations on their impact, including their ability to evoke emotion and speak to people’s hearts; open people’s minds to different ways of thinking; and encourage and affirm Christian living. Winners of the Christian Retailing’s Best awards—formerly known as the Retailers Choice Awards—will be presented at the International Christian Retail Show in St. Louis in June.
